BEFORE YOUR CONSULTATION

A little clarity, before you enquire.

Frequently asked questions about consultation, treatment and care.

Can treatment happen during my first visit?

No. New patients have a consultation first, with injectable treatment at a separate appointment after time to reflect.

You can ask further questions or change your mind before proceeding; the decision should feel considered and entirely your own.

Where will consultations take place?

The practice will be based in Bracknell and Camberley, with home visits by arrangement. Please enquire to discuss the planned locations and availability.

The setting must be appropriate for your care, and any treatment and follow-up arrangements will be explained beforehand.

How do I know whether treatment is right for me?

Treatments are for adults aged 18 and over. Dr Crisan will assess your medical history, concerns and expectations before recommending an option.

If treatment is unsuitable or unlikely to meet your expectations, the recommendation may be to wait, consider an alternative or have no treatment.

What should I share at my consultation?

Please mention medical conditions, allergies, medicines and supplements, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any previous cosmetic procedures.

A complete history helps Dr Crisan assess your individual risks; do not stop prescribed medication without advice from your prescriber.

Does a consultation automatically lead to a prescription?

No. Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine, and prescribing depends on an individual assessment by Dr Crisan, a GMC-registered doctor.

Any proposed treatment needs a clear discussion of its risks, limitations and alternatives before you decide whether to give consent.

What risks should I understand before having fillers?

Bruising, swelling, tenderness and infection can occur. Less common but serious complications include blocked blood vessels, tissue damage and visual problems.

Dr Crisan will explain the risks relevant to your treatment and what to do if problems arise, so you can weigh them against the possible benefits.

How long might results last?

Results vary with the treatment, product, area and individual response; a particular outcome or duration cannot be guaranteed.

Your consultation will cover realistic expectations and any likely need for further treatment, including its costs, before you commit.

How much recovery time should I allow?

Recovery varies between people and procedures. Swelling or bruising may affect your plans, so mention any upcoming events during your consultation.

You will be given advice tailored to your treatment, including aftercare, follow-up and when to seek help.

What if I decide to leave treatment for another time?

You are welcome to pause or decide against treatment, even after discussing a plan.

Your preferences will be respected, with space to reconsider and ask questions without pressure.

Understand your options.

Following an individual assessment, Dr Crisan will discuss appropriate options, risks and alternatives. A consultation does not commit you to treatment.
